USDF/Platinum Performance FEI North American Junior and Young Rider Dressage Championships Teams Announced

          Lexington, KY (July 21, 2011) - The United States Dressage Federation (USDF) announced today the riders selected to represent the US in the USDF/Platinum Performance North American Junior/Young Rider Dressage Championships at the 2011 Adequan FEI North American Junior/Young Rider Championships presented by Gotham North at The Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky. The championships will be held July 27-31, 2011.  A total of 58 juniors and young riders will represent each of USDF's nine regions.  The NAJYRC is the premier equestrian competition in North America for junior and young riders, age 14-21. Young equestrians come from the United States, Bermuda, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, and the Caribbean Islands to vie for team and individual FEI medals in the three Olympic equestrian disciplines of show jumping, dressage, eventing and the FEI World Equestrian Games disciplines of reining and endurance. The competition is run under rules of the FEI (Federation Equestre Internationale), the international governing body for equestrian sport, and is the only FEI championship held annually on this continent
          The following riders and horses will represent the United States on a junior and young rider team of up to four from each of nine USDF regions.

USDF Region 1 Young Rider Team: Nicole DelGiorno and Lamborghini Dane, Chase Hickok and PALERMO, Melanie Montagano and Ga Deva

USDF Region 2 Junior Team: Rosemary Julian-Simoes and Proteus, Matthew Manibusan and HOJVANGS MOONLIGHT, Megan Wisniewski and Bentley, Allison Gerlt and Samurai

USDF Region 2 Young Rider Team: Katie Foster and Sacramento, Emily Wright and Florestano, Victoria Retamoza and Lucarlos, Jennifer Harding and Rotspon's Crusader

USDF Region 3 Junior Team: Rebecca Cohen and Optimus B, Sean Keasler and Fabulous LHF, Mallory Kent and Okidokie

USDF Region 3 Young Rider Team: Bryn Cahill and Bon Renoir,  Alexandra Kitchen and Guardian Angel, Abby Pritchard and Commonwealth TRF, Anne Yanney and Rocky Road Trip
